The measurement system may be inserted in the line directly after the extruder die or further downstream after cooling or the skiver unit. The mechanical assembly is mounted on casters for easy insertion and removal for servicing and is height adjustable. Sensors are protected from high temperature, smoke and fumes using air cooled housings.
